Gallery Two Six
Gallery Two Six is an oasis of serenity and colour in the bustling industrial heart of Darwin. Iconic images of the Northern Territory adorn the walls of Gallery Two Six, the headquarters of Top End photographer, David Hancock.
A resident of the Top End for 30 years, David Hancock is the Territory’s most experienced editorial and corporate photographer; he travels northern Australia shooting for national magazines like Australian Geographic and Outback, as well as local and international companies.
Warm Italian downlights and neutral grey walls highlight spectacular and remarkable photographs that hang in the gallery, while ample parking space in Catterthun Street and Downes Street make Gallery Two Six an easy place to visit, and an ideal venue for corporate functions.
If you are looking to decorate your home or fit-out your office, the selection of images at Gallery Two Six is certainly the widest in Darwin. Apart from the canvasses that hang on the walls, David Hancock has a library of thousands of photographic scenes, ranging from landscapes and textures to industrial imagery at mines, pastoral properties, indigenous communities and offshore platforms.
If you are looking for a corporate gift, a printed canvas or high quality image on archival paper can be ideal. Otherwise David sells a range of hard cover photographic books out of his gallery. If you need books in bulk for a seminar or conference, David offers corporate discounts.
While Gallery Two Six is a showroom for much of David’s work, it is also designed to be a small function or meeting venue where guests can feel comfortable surrounded beautiful and welcoming imagery. There is a kitchen for catering and ample room for entertainment such as a small musical ensemble.
The gallery is open by appointment when David is in town, or when he holds one of his regular exhibitions.
