David Hancock is a skillful and knowledgeable writer who has been published nationally in newspapers and magazines for many decades. He presently writes for Australian Geographic and Outback magazines, and the Anzenberger Agency, in Europe.

His experience spans 40 years of working for editorial, corporate and government clients, including 12 years with The Australian newspaper.

David brings a national standard to the quality of his writing. He travels northern Australia regularly as a photographer and writer and has worked at mine sites, offshore energy platforms, cattle stations, tourism destinations, Aboriginal communities and remote places. He knows Darwin and the region intimately.

David has written, and photographed, six books that have sold more than 30,000 copies. The last five were self-published.

David has written cabinet submissions for government, sponsorship pitches for large events like the Finke Desert Race and the V8 Supercars, as well as financial pieces on behalf of the private and public sector.

While the broadness of David’s writing, photographic and publishing skills are unmatched in Darwin, an added advantage is that he can draw on decades in the north to communicate the finer points of industry and commerce.

David Hancock has lived in and written about the region for 30 years. He travels widely and understands the north better than most writers and is an all-round communications professional – a writer, photographer and publisher.
